Europa-Park Rust - a pleasure for the whole family

The health resort Triberg is located on the Black Forest railway line that leads from Offenburg to Singen. In and around Triberg there are many watch stores with Black Forest clocks. You can also find the world's largest cuckoo clock. The main attraction is certainly the Triberg waterfall. In seven cascades the Gutach plunges 163 meters in depth.
In the evening the Falls are lit up to until 22 o'clock.
Three interesting hiking and walking paths are signposted around the Gutach. Billboards offer interesting information about Triberg and the waterfalls.
TIP: The many squirrels that live around the waterfalls in the forest have lost their fear of humans. Do not forget peanuts!!

Black Forest Open Air Museum " Vogtsbauernhof "
Around the 400years old Vogtsbauernhof the open-air museum is originated.
It was supplemented by additional farms from the Black Forest, the farms were dismantled at their original location on the southern and the northern Black Forest and built on the large grounds of the museum. Inside are typical decorated Bauernstuben from that time. Many tools and farming equipment give you a glimpse of the heavy and physical work of that time.

Castle Staufenberg is a symbol of the well-known wine-producing village and an attraction for visitors from around the world. Through hiking trails and a driveway Schloss Staufenberg is easy to reach. The trip is worth it.
Merchandise store( chocolate, ham, etc. ), wine tasting ( by appointment ), Homemade wine on the sun terrace and in the wine bar, small museum with water fountain. From the castle terrace you have a wonderful view of the Rhine.

At the entrance of the Kinzigtal surrounded by vineyards castle Ortenberg is situated. The castle tower is open during the summer months. From the top you have a beautiful view of the Kinzigtal, Offenburg and if the few is clear even to the Vosges.

Gengenbach is called the "pearl of romantic half-timbered towns ". From the distance you see Gengenbach with its gates and towers. At the heart of the old town numerous half-timbered houses dominate the picture of the town.
During Advent, the Town Hall proves magical attractions. It turns with its 24 windows in the world's largest Advent calendar house.

Mummelsee - The heart of the Schwarzwaldhochstrasse
Start with a short hike on the art trail through the woods at the Mummelsee. Close the walk with a surrounding on the trail around the lake.
For the kids an adventure playground is offered or you can use one of our pedal boats to discover the lake.
Feel free to browse in the small souvenir shop next to the Mummelsee to buy a traditional Black Forest souvenir for your loved ones before you indulge your taste buds in the mountain restaurant.

The city of Baden-Baden looks back on a 2,000 - year old history as a spa town.
Baden-Baden offers various art and cultural institutions like a spa center with restaurant and a stylish Casino (tuxedo required!), Various spas, parks, churches and castles.
During Advent Baden-Baden seduced visitors with a tantalizing aroma of mulled wine and gingerbread at the Christmas Market.
Straßburg – European capital
More than 20 centuries of history Strasbourg has to offers. By public transportation such as bus, tram or train from Kehl to our neighbor city on the other side of the Rhine.
You have different options to explore Strasbourg. If you walk around Strasbourg you get the best impression of the town. From the Ancienne Douane, the old customs house on the Ill you will reach the world-famous cathedral in just a few steps. Interesting on Münsterplatz is the Maison Kammerzell, a richly decorated half-timbered building. Subsequently, through the Rue des Bardes Light on the Place Gutenberg to the former Gerber Petite France district with its old picturesque half-timbered houses by the River Ill to the Ponts Couverts and the Vauban Dam. From the terrace you have a beautiful view over Strasbourg. Also interesting is a visit to the "European district" near the Orangery Park on the banks of the Ill (Euro Council, European Parliament, European Court of Human Rights)
A special experience is a visit to Strasbourg during the Advent season. The Strasbourg Christmas Market is the oldest in France.
